Cet appel est ouvert à tous les artistes de diverses disciplines qui souhaitent s’engager dans une résidence de création virtuelle.
La Virtual Exchange Residency invite deux artistes interdisciplinaires à collaborer dans un dialogue artistique et à pratiquer l’un avec l’autre. Le programme établit deux incubateurs de résidences virtuelles distinctes où deux artistes peuvent vivre, réfléchir et rêver d’un avenir partagé à travers leurs objectifs artistiques uniques. Nous avons donc formé le duo international suivant : Hadrien Téqui(France) et Suyai Otaño (Argentine).
Dans la pandémie actuelle, nous sommes confrontés à la tension des préoccupations mondiales et locales. Le présent semble dystopique. L’avenir est inconnu. Par conséquent, nous pensons que le partage d’un espace de création virtuel est nécessaire pour briser cet isolement individuel. Malgré tous les défis auxquels nous sommes confrontés aujourd’hui, La Virtual Exchange Residency cherche à faire tomber les limites artistiques par un engagement ludique et expérimental dans la sphère numérique.
Les projets finaux des résidences seront restitués en ligne via la plateforme en ligne LODO. Cette plateforme créera un espace de coopération et d’échange au moyen de la rencontre, du (dés) apprentissage, du partage, du rassemblement et de l’écoute..

Following the precedent of YET TO .COM(E) program (started in 2020), the Virtual Exchange Residency is launched to renew an online art residency and invite two interdisciplinary artists to collaborate in an artistic dialogue and practice. With the global pandemic still active, the program aims to create a stimulating community, sharing a virtual creation space in order to bring a localized dialogue to the artistic experimentation.
This four-months online seminar seeks to establish a professional art practice in some form or another. Two artists have been invited to live, brainstorm, and dream about a common project through their unique artistic lenses; they are driven by the two art incubators : LODO in Argentina and Espace Croisé in France.
These two structures have designed a program to be useful to the artists of any age, background, and experience, they are participating artists’ work progress, providing input, support and visibility. While it’s an online experience for the two artists, it’s also a public and viewers experimentation. The digital platform will integrate video conferences, interview sessions, workshops, talks of the work progress and studio visits..

The 2021-2022 Virtual Exchange Residency is made possible by the international partners LODO and Espace Croisé with the support of the French Embassy in Argentina. All are engaged in digital and physical performance activities. Their curatorial practice is shaped by working in proximity over distance: fostering a sharing of resources as well as collectively devising intercultural and interdisciplinary methods for participatory interventions.
LODO (Argentina) is a platform based in Buenos Aires that focuses on territorial, contextual, and procedural practices, as well as the development of performing arts in Latin America.
